Comments were made recently about leaks in SS braided fuel hose. This kinda disturbs me as I was planning on using that for my fuel system run over to the engine. What kind of liner did the leaking hose have, synthetic rubber or PTFE (Teflon). Any idea why it failed?
If this stuff is going to fail what is the sense of spending so much $$ on it if it is for low pressure systems and appearance is not a factor.

Believe my leaking hose was caused by the inner stainless wrap breaking from the hose flexing in fan wind and causing little pieces of it to stick through the hose. Actually cut it open and found the little pieces of stainless sticking through the hose. If I had supported it in that area between the crossmember and the AC bracket probably would have been no problem, or ran it away from fan wind.
