Left Branson about 8:30 this morning and intended to stop in Sikeston which is about half way. Got there about 2pm and decided to drive on to Dyersburg, Tn. Got there and it was still early so we decided to press on to Jackson.

Found a campground (Whispering Pines) that looked OK and planned to overnight there. When we got to the campground it was full of 40 year old mobile homes and some other pretty sad stuff, we made a loop of their driveway and rolled on. About 6pm, we were only about 3 hours from home so we just drove on.

I'm going to pay for this...581 miles is about 200 more than I should have done. But we are home and the coach ran fine all the way. Having secondaries makes a HUGE difference.

Still have a bog before the secondaries open but I'll work with Dick P to figure it out when he gets back home.

What a great time we had!

Good deal, glad you made it. I found that you certainly "married up", like many of us.
Bet Fred got his head thumped for telling that story about his wife's bra. How funny.

Judy and I sat across from Fred and BJ at breakfast on Wednesday.

It did NOT appear that BJ was pleased with Fred's "story!"

Yeah, to this day, I don't know what she saw in me.

One more trip funny...well two actually. About 50 miles out, I lost all my dash lights. Still had the Digipanel and GPS so I had knowledge of the engine and speed so we rolled on. The last time we stopped for gas, I noticed the engine RPM didn't want to come down and expect I lost one of the throttle return springs.

Anyway, we pull in about 9pm and the engine is at about 1500...too tired and I just turned the key off which ANNOUNCED our arrival with a tremendous backfire! I'm sure the neighbors loved that! Laughing Embarassed

Later, while unhooking the Saturn, I realized that we had also lost the tail lights. Still had turn signals, brake lights and running lights apparently. oops. No one flashed or honked at us so we must have been visible.

Safety feature - all US cars have the dash lights and tail lights on the same circuit. When there are no dash lights, walk around back and check for tail lights.

Sounds like how Bob and I keep going when we shouldn't, Kerry. It happens,
but it is tiring.
