In my Royale rear bath I can't find the water heater or any controls for the water heater. I'm hoping someone here can advise, otherwise the next step is to chase down the preheater hoses and see where they go.

I don't know -- but if you trace the preheat hoses, you may want to measure them at the time so you are prepared for replacement.

OK, found it (under the oven). Apparently the only controls are behind the access panel outside? No way to turn it off or on from inside the coach.

David, if you have a Royale uplifted by Jimmy, you more than likely have a
propane water heater. Most of them were fitted with heater hoses connecting
to the engine cooling system that heated water while driving. On many of
them, there is a rocker switch inside the left hand undercabinet near the
floor. When that switch is operated, the ignition circuit attempts to light
the water heater burner. If it does not light within a few seconds, a led
light in the rocker switch turns on. To try a second attempt to light the
burner, you turn the switch off and then on again.

Thanks Jim. What do you me by "left hand undercabinet near the floor" The cabinet under the stove where the heater is located?

My answer was not very clear. Sorry. The cabinet under the sink if you have
a driver side galley. If you have a passenger side galley, I will have to
check it out further.

We have driver's side galley. I'll check there tomorrow. Thanks!

Some of the Royales put the water heater under the couch.

Do you have a vent door on the driver's side?
