I’m looking for the speedometer printed circuit piece with male contact pins and the female connector that goes with these contacts. The parts book has them listed as:
6294647 CONNECTOR p/c inst. Panel harness. gauge cluster/speedometer
6493204 CIRCUIT ASSY (used w/8989366) SOA
The one I have on the vehicle had no connector and only two surviving male contact pins. I wasted lots of time by replacing the necessary pins with tiny bronze bolts/washers/lock washers/epoxy and ring connectors. It worked just fine until the bolts shorted out on the flexible air vent hose that I replaced with aluminum.

My vehicle is 1977 Kingsley.

Jim,

I would try to contact Jim Bounds down at the GMC coop. I would think he would have a whole speedometer or whatever dash parts you need in the junk bin, because a good portion of his restoration gets an entire new dash cluster.

I got an email from Jim Bounds this morning, talked to him and his wife and gave all the information needed to complete the transaction. All marvelous.
