I bought a 76 pb the gen was out of it. the po said a 4 k came w/ it when he bought it.I have the power drawer and the 4k gen.there is a mount that is bolted to the frame.the power drawers mounting holes seem to line up,3 of them on the right side facing the gen compartment. when the 3 bolts are tightend the left side comes up about 1/2 inch.there are two mounting holes on the bottem of the power drawer on the left side, that mount to the frame. is the power drawer supposed to sit on the frame of the mh? I put washers under it to support it. has anyone else run into this problem? thanks Dave

The power drawer is NOT supposed to sit on the GMC frame. The bracket supports it about 1-3/8" above the frame.

There is a bracket that bolts to the frame with 4 bolts. The power drawer bolts down to that bracket with 4 bolts in a rectangular pattern.

I have not seen an original frame bracket up close and personal, but the back 2 bolts on the 23' bolt to the rear subframe, not the frame rails, and there needs to be about a 1/8" offset for the thickness of the metal. I don't know if that offset is in the bracket or if GM used spacers. If that offset is in the bracket, then you need to use a spacer to move the front of the bracket away from the frame rails that 1/8"

Here's what the bracket and power drawer look like. You can see the 4 holes in the power drawer.

That pic is a 4k.

If yours looks different, maybe yours is not out of a GMC.

If it was previously installed -- and you have all the pieces, it should be straightforward.
The forward part in Mark's post bolts to the frame, the drawer bolts to that piece and essentially cantilevers the Onan into the compartment.
