What is a good coating to put on all the electrical connections. I have them all shiny clean now and don't want them to corrode again. The auto shops here have only offered me battery terminal protection spray. Is it ok to use, or is there something better ??

I've been using SanChem NO-OX-ID "A" special electrical for over 40 years. Works great. We used it at the electric uility I worked for. The web page is here:

http://www.sanchem.com/aSpecialE.html

I buy it from SanChem direct but they have a minimum order quantity that amounts to about 6 tubes (8oz ea).

search on ebay for "NO-OX-ID A-Special Electrical". There is one "buy it now" vendor selling it for $16.75 a tube with free shipping. That is just about what I pay per tube, with shipping, when I order it direct.

The best thing about this stuff is that it never dries up like petroleum grease. Whatever I protect with it stays protected. I also use it as anti-seize.

Buy a tube of silicone dielectric grease from an auto parts store. I use it on all spade plug connectors. It keeps moisture out and the connections don't corrode. I also use it inside the switches for my lights by the door, over head and in the bath and for the level switches.

Tom - when I wrote my reply I did not notice it was from you. If you get out by Palmyra I'll give you a pill bottle of no-ox for you to try.
