OK, just got word that someone had went by and removed parts from the parts coach that I bought near Gadsden, AL. Quite surprising to me since I knew nothing about it. Serious breach of etiquette here. The owners have allowed me to leave it there while I continue to remove parts from it. That is very generous of them and I do not wish to impose on their privacy. It is not a Pull-A-Part operation. I have shared the address with some that were interested in parts but that was not a free invitation to go by and remove things. It was meant to coordinate a visit at a specific date and time. I'm not suggesting anything dishonest was done and in fact it would have probably been fine if it had been coordinated with me. Please do me the simple courtesy of checking with me first in the future. The plan is to completely dismantle this coach in conjunction with a Dixielanders meet in mid October.

Thanks,

Devin

1) that's really obnoxious. 2) that's really gutsy. having been to that property it's not one I'd go on without owner permission. In fact, I sat in my car and waited for the owner to come out before getting out of the car when Devon, Tom and I went a couple weekends ago.

I'm sorry to hear that happened Devon.

Nothing quite that serious. No theft but I'm still not quite sure what was removed. Apologies have been made and accepted. Seriously, this person could have been shot in this rural setting. These folks would have every right to tell me not to come on their property again in which case I would be out some money and a lot of people would be out of some much needed parts.

Sounds like it's settled then. I grew up in rural Alabama, the rule was/is you go to the front porch if the dogs will let you, otherwise stand in the yard and holler till someone appears and state your binniss. You then get introduced to the dogs, and the owner knows who where and why. Otherwise you may get penalized a mouthful or some birdshot. The miscreant is lucky.
