Hi All,
Just picked up a '75 Palm Beach I purchased in Palm Beach Fla. a few weeks ago.Hasn't run for the last 12 years so I had it towed to Jeff Sirum GMC to have it made road worthy for a 2000 mi trip back to Canada. Had everything working great when I left Fla. and needed all 3 air cond. on today as we headed north on 95, we stopped at a roadside strand to pick up some fruit before leaving Florida and left the Onan running with the 2 roof air on when I got back the Onan was running but the roof air were off. I checked the relays and they hadn't tripped, then checked the power cord to make sure it didn't vibrate loose and it was OK, then pulled out the onan and checked the reset on it and it appeared OK, anybody have any suggestions??
I am presently in Brunswick GA. and will be leaving in the AM, could really use the extra air , Don't have any tools with me but will find a Harbor Freight tomorrow to get a test light and a volt meter. Could it be a failed bridge rectifier? If so where could I find one locally or along my way north?
May not be able to reply to anyone till morning.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch!

The circuit breaker with the reset button was declared "junk" by Duane Simmons -- I presume because it often failed.
You might try ensuring that all ac's are turned off as well as any other large load and then reset the circuit breaker again.

Assuming that you checked all of the circuit breakers inside the coach, my first two guesses are the circuit breaker on the top of the Onan and the bridge rectifier.

You are going to need a VOM.
Get one cheap at Harbor Freight.

The circuit board on the Onan has nothing to do with putting out power. If the engine starts and runs, then the problem is NOT with the circuit board.

Good morning Nelson,
Thanks for the offer, We are heading up 95 from Georgia, so I will have to pass on the offer. I will try to find something along the route. At least it is just a discomfort issue and not a driveability problem at this point.
Nice to know there are helpful GMCers out there.
You guys are great!
Thanks again,
Bob Wheaton
