Hi Everyone,
I've actually owned my Eleganza for a little over a year but have only recently been able to work on it. However in the meantime I did join this forum a few months ago but don't know enough to post much yet, but I'm coming up to speed fast. I've done a lot of my prerequisites ie: Lurking here and on other GMC sites, joining Jim B's CO-OP, today joining FMCA, GMCMI, Eastern States and sending my application to Dixielanders, and the greatest task of all, I viewed ALL of Robin's videos. I have bought items from other GMCers (most recently Larry Whisler) and both Jim's. Great service and advice from all of the guys. I need to get to the Co-op soon for a B and B, fuel lines and exhaust (if my money holds up). Later on I'll feel confident enough to handle these kind of tasks myself. My other project is rebuilding my TOAD, a 73 VW Beetle.

Welcome aboard Jerry.
The only thing you've missed is your location and the year of your
Eleganza. If you type it into your signature, you won't have to re-type it
in every time ...now that you are going to be a regular poster.
There are several guys on here with VW toads, so we will be watching for
that as well.

The other thing you will notice on here is the occasional 'Idiot' who
doesn't read posts...that would be ME !! Sorry, after 30 years in the
reading business, you would think I would know better !
Sorry.

Welcome to the cult Jerry. I'm near Huntsville, Al.
You missed a great rally at Bean Station a few months back. It's fine to read but it's great to see and talk in person.
The Dixielanders are having a fall rally in Gadsden, Al in October. Even if you don't drive your coach, if you can make it down to meet some folks and look at other coaches it will be well worth your time.

Oh c'mon, they're not THAT bad! :)
I've got a good one in the works about rear brake and bearing servicing! :)
Nice to meet you, and it's great that we have more folks in the region.

Actually, they're not bad at all, I really enjoy them, even the snake video, which is MY phobia.

Jerry,
Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum....
You have already learned the most important thing and that is that there is help here. One amazing community, isn't it?
When I came on board, I was immediately at home as this is just like the community of waterman where I spent most of my younger life. This is even more true, as you will soon find, as the coach will become more a part of your life than "just another toy" because of both the comraderie it brings with it and the way you will have to treat it. I liken it to the relation we have with our boats, and like to greet new owners in a fitting manner. So,
May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.
Welcome Jerry

Thanks for the blessing Matt, not just for me and my humble coach, but for the entire GMC community, I guess we're all in this "boat" together and could use all of the help we can get from whatever source.
