Much more complex and many times as expensive as the 2-serpentine belt
system I'm running. Basically, I used a Ford dual serpentine crankshaft
pulley (modified to fit the Cad hub) and adapted/built brackets for the
accessories. Far less difficult than I'd expected, but quite a lot of
sitting and looking before I figured it out. Several other GMC-Caders have
also built their own and gave me lots of ideas.

At one time Jim Bounds was trying to make a deal with March to offer a
455/403 kit with less bling for less money -- haven't heard anything about
that effort in a long time.

Leigh Harrison does sell an Olds kit without bling, but it runs the water
pump backward. My similar system, from Bobby Moore, ran fine with a
standard water pump turning backward, but many had overheating problems.
Leigh later designed and had built true reverse-flow pumps, some
prototypes of which I tested -- with bad results. I never tested his final
version and now I understand that he's found a production reverse flow
pump.

If I had a 455 with OEM V-belts, I'd be trying to figure out a 2-serpentine
system, now that I know about the dual Ford pulleys.
