My wife and I are Branson bound! We will be staying in one of the cottages
and will be there for Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. On
my way to the post office now to make sure it gets mailed on time, don't
want to pay that $25 late fee if I can help it! :-)

I could possibly do a short clinic on veterans benefits law in my personal
capacity not as a VA employee, or maybe a clinic on shooting and editing
YouTube videos, in my capacity as a lunatic with a video camera. :-)

It will be nice to come to one of these and be able to sleep in something
nicer than a tent in a thunderstorm. :-)

Hit me up, Dan. :) I doubt that they'll ask me to do any clinic at all, but
I'm always ready to talk to a Veteran about what the VA can do for them,
and how best to navigate the byzantine claims process. :)

I'd like to sit in on that discussion too Robin. I THINK I've exhausted everything but am certainly not opposed to finding something I missed.

The GMCMI fall conventions always conflict with my wife's Missouri Master Gardeners convention and she is an officer, and thus nobody will see her at Branson, but she does exist, I promise. Their convention is in Springfield this year....where we live.....just about 45 minutes north of Branson.

I will attend the beginning of the GMCMI convention starting Friday, and then must skedaddle on Sunday. I have a convention the next Wednesday at Tupelo....the Intl Cessna 195 Club is having their convention overlapping the GMCMI convention, and I am an officer in that group so it is a "must attend". I am looking forward to seeing everyone for the few days I will be in Branson (with my fur kid by the way)...

Kim, if my forms do not show the proper postmark, let me know and I will get you the late fee. They were mailed yesterday, the deadline day.

Thanks Robin. I don't really have many questions but if a few gather make sure you grab me. I fought the war in Mississippi. Boy, were my eyes opened.

Rick, it will be good to meet you. Our son lives in Columbia, Tn.
Larry, is there any reason not to just follow 60 to 65 south at 7 pm?

Dan, it is four lane all the way to Branson. No reason at all. However, hitting "the strip" in the evening might be a different story. I will post some alternate routes (within Branson) for your consideration. Stand by.

Dan, and anyone else hitting the Branson "strip" from Hwy 65 at any time later than, maybe 5pm, you may want to click this link and download the map.

http://www.bransontourismcenter.com/mapofbranson.htm?phid=024&gclid=CP3Q5sT8h7kCFfA7MgodhD4ADg
Branson has many alternate routes to navigate around and in Branson without the traffic jam that is the "strip".

For example, if it were me (or Dan and Teri) coming from the north on 65 late in the afternoon, I would exit 65 at Hwy 248 (west). Proceed west on 248 until Gretna Road hoves into view and you can turn left there (you will see the back of the Mansion Theatre as I recall). Take Gretna road all the way to Hwy 76 (the strip) and cross over 76, continuing south. (You will see The Titanic on your left at this intersection). I think that is still named Gretna road here and takes on the "Hwy 165" name soon after you cross 76. You will proceed until you see Animal Safari Road, turning right on that road to the KOA.

If I were coming from the SOUTH on 65, I would exit on 265, pick up 165, crossing Table Rock Lake over the dam, and just stay on 165 until you see the Animal Safari Road and turn LEFT to the KOA.

These are just some suggestions. I will take the first route myself.
