Several have brought this up over the years. The Mauak Special Vehicle (MSV) was a similar but rear engine design to the GMC from the 1990's. Some still are seen but they suffered from reliability of the drivetrain and eventually disappeared.

Andy Mauck in Columbus OH has started up again but based on the Sprinter chassis. It is again a composite panel glued to aluminum frame. I saw one today and compared to a stock Sprinter, it is a very attractive body style.

OK, nowe I know what I saw on I 85 yesterday on the way home. I thought D-B had made it to compete with some of the new stuff Dodge is selling.
