Phew, I've been trying to find time to sit down and write this since we got back but seems like everything has conspired against me. Even tried once or twice but tried to add a photo so the message was kicked back. And I still can't seem to play directly to the forum for some reason.

Anyway, left LA Sunday morning and sat in gobs of traffic on the 5. The rest of the trip went pretty smoothly except for some traffic in Bakersfield. We made it to Frank's around 3:30. The girls thought that looking at the trailer was cool for about the first three minutes and them they were off. Freddie was beyond sweet and helped to keep them entertained and was a lovely host while we were there. Frank showed Ryan the ins and outs of the coach (and RV camping for novices). Really, I don't think Frank and Freddie could have been ANY nicer.

We finally got out of there and headed over to Bass Lake for some dry camping. Ryan has a complete obsession with the Systems Check button and my girls have one with the bunk beds! The campsite was lovely and just across the street from the lake. We just lounged around for the evening and the next day. We had planned to drive into Yosemite, but none of us felt like getting back in the car for a drive so we will have to make another trip up there. Which is fine by me!

The drive home was uneventful. I followed Ryan home and he drove the GMC. I had to text him to slow down a few times. Fortunately we didn't get cell service so he didn't get all my worry wart texts till he was done having fun.

I can't wait for our next trip! I'm lamenting all the weekend commitments we have already on the calendar. I'm ready to go again!

Thank you all for pushing me in Franks direction. My husband was a little freaked as we drove into the middle of nowhere with a wad of cash, but I assured him that all you guys would not lead me astray. And you didn't.

And thank you Frank and Freddie for everything! Looking forward to seeing you again at a rally!

Alex,

Since you mentioned the bunk beds:
Frank probably clued you in on the hazard to your fingers when operating the upper bunk. In case he didn't and since it hasn't been mentioned here for some time, see this in Mr ERF's all things GMC site:

http://gmcmotorhome.info/NEWPROJ.html#finger

Congratulations on the new coach.

Facebook friend request, so you can see this picture. I clicked the
settings so that maybe other people can see it to.
