After the Kohler went on strike last April, we finally negotiated a return to work agreement and last night it started and ran beautifully.
It's always been a bit of a hard starter and I figured that was due to drawing fuel so far, but last April it refused to start on a camping trip at high elevation. Fuel OK, Air OK, but no Spark. Tried new points - no luck (although the other were a bit worn). Tried a new coil (GULP! -$90 on eBay for the cheapest)- nothing! So finally I go to the auto parts place and explain what a condenser is, and stick it on.
VOILA! It started immediately and carried the load without the slightest wimper. Love it! (until I hate it again, that is).
