Maybe this has already been discussed on this forum, but a search revealed no such discussion. Following is a copy of a letter sent to a friend who owns a Bluebird and was left by the side of road without coverage. He says he was never billed separately for Coachnet and, as the letter states, FMCA elected not to tell their members about the change. Others on that forum are equally uninsured for road coverage.

Coach Net cancelled their contract with FMCA as of May 31st. FMCA did not notify our Membership since it is not a Membership Benefit that is included in the FMCA Membership renewal. It was our understanding that Coach Net would bill Members of the road service program since retaining Membership in their program is their goal. Since we have no affiliation with them at this time, I cannot answer why you did not receive a bill from them.

We are in the process of searching for another Road Service Company and hope to have them in place within the next couple of months.

If you have any other questions, or need further information, please let me know.

Sincerely,

I do not have Coachnet and am a member of FMCA because most GMC clubs require FMCA membership to participate in rallies. I continue to have a gnawing feeling of being held hostage. I can really think of no benefit they provide other than the "insurance" at rallies.

That is interesting. I am assuming I am still covered. My records indicate that I am thru Nov. I certainly will investigate this ASAP.
Thanks,
Dan

I wish I had not looked. My Coachnet plan covers all my vehicles. I paid twice last year to have a vehicle towed, 375 bux. Why didn't I think to call Coachnet?

Pretty sure most every plan out there covers you as the driver no matter what you are driving at the time.  The RV specific ones just extend that to the awesome RV you happen to be driving at the time.

I'm not commenting on Coachnet as a service. I understand they are among the best. And I have no room to talk. By all accounts, AAA platinum RV sometimes falls short in their service. I keep AAA because of the discounts I get on hotels, etc. I know other services cover your cars also.

I personally wouldn't drive it around the block without some sort of towing coverage.

IT might not be too late. Try sending them the bills.

Like almost everyone else, I have no idea why FMCA is no longer affiliated with Coach Net. Probably has to do with money. But I have used Coachnet on several occasions and have found them to be very efficient.

All the affiliation was involved FMCA advertising for them in the magazine. FMCA had no other involvement with the coverage. It was between members and Coach Net.

CoachNet is realigning itself with Good Sam/Camping World based on some
other information I've come across.

Money probably is involved.

According to the letter, Coachnet ended the relationship. I posted for those who, like my friend, were not billed by Coachnet after the split and ultimately had no road service when he needed it.
