We are driving up to Awahnee Sunday to meet Frank, buy the Eleganza, and head straight to a camping trip. (How can I not? He is 25 miles from Yosemite!)
So, I am trying to figure out everything I need for the trip, and I've got some camping checklists, so I have something to work off of and modify. But what do you bring as far as maintenance, RV and GMC specific things that you always keep with you? I found this list. Anything else you would recommend?
Did I mention how excited I am?!?

I won't be towing anything this time around. Though now that I almost have the coach, I am probably going to need a boat.

I think he meant towing for the coach in case it breaks down. :-) I have
AAA RV Premier. I have used it one time, and AAA will be upside down for
years with me before they get their money back in premiums. :-)

I have been with Good Sam for several years and have had to use their

Alex,
Gene's list is good. You can pick and choose items from the various categories. The ONLY times (2) in five years and over 20,000 miles, we have been dead by the side of the road were due to ignition issues. The first time it was the ign. module, the second time it was the reasonably new MSD spark control box. Both times, I was able to install a new ignition module and get back on the road in short order. So, definitely have a spare module with you. I wouldn't be surprised if Frank has one in the coach.
Another thing we like to have with us is a small propane grille (a Weber - <http://www.bbqguys.com/item_name_Weber-Go-Anywhere-Portable-Gas-Grill_path_10472_item_486.html>. Some RV parks will not allow a charcoal fire and this one works well for us. Along with that, it's nice to have camp chairs and some kind of folding table too.
Make sure you have (eventually) all the stuff you have at home, in smaller quantities, of course. Paper products, grooming products, first aid products, cookware, clothing, hiking shoes, etc, etc.
It sometimes amazes me how much stuff we carry along with us

When I checked AAA had a $300 limit in California for RV towing coverage - I went with Good Sam and fortunately, haven't had to use them yet.

I will use blocks even if I don't "need them" because it keeps the coach from bouncing around when people are walking in it (particularly nice during the middle of the night).
Generally what this means is I'll just set the coach to nearly level, with the rear a tad high, then slip "blocks" (in my case, a couple 12" sections of 2x10" lumber, some 2x4 blocks, and some 1x4 glocks) under my "bump stop wheels" protruding down from my rear frame rails (so I only need a few inches of wood most times). Then I will just lower the coach slightly so it's sitting on the blocks, but I don't air down the suspension beyond that because it won't move under any circumstances once the bump-stop wheels are sitting on the wood.

I have almost always been able to level up my coach with the air bags too, but at the KOA in Flagstaff, that we were at a week and a half ago, I needed some help. Their campground is kind of carved out of the base of a mountain and most of the sites slope up and to the right. With the bags at full raise, we were still low in the back, particularly on the left side. They have some old 2 X boards, salvaged from their picnic tables that they lend out. I put two under the left rear wheel and one under the left mid wheel and the left-right bias was fixed. It wasn't low enough to worry about in the rear. I have run into this problem on other occasions at forest service campgrounds too. The wife is now after me to pick up a set of those stackable plastic leveling blocks.
Turning the coach around might have worked at the KOA too, but the hook-ups would have been on the wrong side.

Read it cover to cover BEFORE you get to Franks; that way when he walks you through how "stuff" works you will comprehend what he
explains to you better.
I have read some nightmare stories here because of "operator error."
Maybe some of them will share their stories with you now.

We are driving up to Awahnee Sunday to meet Frank, buy the Eleganza, and head straight to a camping trip. (How can I not? He is 25
miles from Yosemite!)
So, I am trying to figure out everything I need for the trip, and I've got some camping checklists, so I have something to work off
of and modify. But what do you bring as far as maintenance, RV and GMC specific things that you always keep with you? I found this

Spare plastic governor gear for transmission. Frank probably has one already in the oach.
Fire Ext should be B-C rated, A class not necessary in motor vehicle.
Instead of leveling blocks, I use a small jack under one of the boggies to lift the coach a little, taking the air bag suspension out of the equation. Takes out the bounce.
If coach has not been driven much lately, get a bottle of SeaFoam or Sta-Bil and pour it in gas tank, when you fill up. Helps remove gunk from gas.
Spare gas filter and tools to replace it.
Fill it up and have fun.

Alex,
During past surveys of road side assistance/towing insurance companies, only Coach Net did not get any bad experience reports. Progressive was second best.
