If you want two, fine, but you can get by with one in your main tank. When it gets down to 1/4 tank, you will still have the same amount in your auxiliary tank (about 7 or 8 gallons) to get you to a gas station. If you run the main tank dry, switch to the aux tang and head directly to the next gas station (within 50 miles).

I just shipped mine to United Speedometer Shop in Riverside Ca. $85 per sender to do a rebuild. Mine were pretty crusty with rust, insulation peeling off sender wire, etc. We'll see how they turn out.
