So I took it on myself to change the Trany oil and filter
In doing this I didn't push the filter up enough to make it seal
Took it for a drive and lost forward gears all three, Reverse still works, Went back in and the filter was loose pushed it into place with what I think is a positive seal but still no forward gears
Any Ideas ?
Can the filter vapor lock or is a check valve in the valve body the issue ?

We purchase over 20 filter per Month, but in the last 3 month, the diameter
of the tube has been small to the point we had to return 70%.
Great quality from all the big name including wix.
The Chinese think they can send over crap as the major manufactures are not
checking them out.
We are resorting to purchasing from even retailers to find the correct size
pipe.
We might resort to purchasing Orings which will make these work.

Well Hard lesson learned I did get one of these filters it did release and has seemed to fry my clutches no forward gears,
I phoned Manny he told me what I didn't want to hear.
Just about to leave on a two week Racecation now its stranded in front off my house.
Bought the good filter yesterday in an attempt to see but already did its damage.
You can see this filter in question is made of thinner metals and is cheaply made.
There isn't enough four letter words to cover this !

Fella's;
As JimK says, these filters are all over the place for dimensions. The filter neck that goes into the tranny needs to be right at 3/4" (.750") for the O ring to seal. Mic the tube, don't use the filter if it is even just a little smaller, it will not seal. Another thing to watch, the O rings that come with the filter, even the correct filter, are of poor quality and size, especially the body width. The O ring is a #116 O ring, which has the spec's of 3/32" width, ID 3/4", OD 15/16", actual size will be ID 0.737", OD 0.943". Go to a good hydraulics place and get a full bodied O ring, you will see the difference. I purchase them at my local JD dealer. If you have the correct O ring, no need for two O rings, they may even combat each other, or will buckle up when inserted in the tranny port.
The Wix has a slightly longer pick-up tube than the AC TF-169, no problem with the OEM pan, but may need to be shortened slightly if using a Ragussa pan, because of the fins inside the Ragussa pan.
Take care from Bob Drewes in SESD

Sounds like a liability issue for the filter manufacturer to me. You might try to initiate a claim against them. Maybe it will provoke them into being a little more conscious of their quality control.

For the THIRD TIME, what was the make and part# of the filter so it can be avoided in the future.

I had an issue with a Wix filter a couple of months ago. The ATP filter I replaced it with worked fine.

The 58882 number comes up as WIX filter. Sells anywhere between $11 & $30. Just google wix 58882 and all sorts pop up.
