I believe my roof pod is cracked on the Barn Queen and is collecting water,
which no doubt serves as a mosquito breeding ground and possibly 24 hour
buffet for the wassp that I'm just certain infest every nook and cranny of
the coach.

I need to drill a hole to drain the water out, and discar the pod,
methinks. Is it fairly self explanatory?

I'm planning on draping the coach in plastic, and bombing the hell out of
it with chemicals. Inside, on the roof, underneat, several under the front
cowling. There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to wasps.
Hopefully what's inside the plastsic will die, and nothing will be able to
get inside to rebuild the nests. Then I can worry about ordering the parts
I need and bleeind the brakes and replacing belts and hoses when I'm not
hyperventilating with fear than any moment an agressive insect will come
sting me.

Robin,
Look in the bottom of the pod, there should be some screws that hold the pod to the top of the coach.

Mine, had six lag screws that went into the aluminum. Because I was unsure I would not want to put it back on some day, I got six shorter screws and put them right back in the roof with some sealer on the heads. No leaks so far.

Same here except I put large fender washers under the bolt heads and sealed them as well. Probably looks like hell from an airplane but no leaks.

Robin,

Why don't I have your coaches listed in the GMC Registry???

Please go to the Registry web site listed below and fill out the on-line form there, and send it to me.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure I registered them both previously?

Anyway, Barn Queen is a 1977 Palm Beach w/403, TZE167V101791, purchased
from former Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Car and Driver William Jeanes.

The Pinto Bean is a 1978 Royale rear dry bath w/403 (obviously)
TZE368V101593, purchased from Paul Tribble, who had a whole cache of them
that I believe were collateral damage from a business going under.
