I replaced my Original coleman rooftop unit, despite it was still working, the cover was decrepit, and it was loud. My two new dometic 13.5s do the trick. I was trying to find a local shop to salvage the R-22 so I can salvage the core.

I was thinking, can I use evaporator from this unit as an aux unit, or is it easier/cheaper to just go with a vintage air unit?

The roof unit was R22 and the coach air is R12 or newer stuff. WAY easier to get the Vintage air unit that is used for an aux unit, You would need a different nozzle, build a housing and vent set ups along with jerry rigging up the wiring along with all the adapters you would need to install it. Might only cost you twice as much to install and work half as well.
