Sadly, in this marketplace it's kinda high.
Other than the rims there are no upgrades, just maintenance and preservation of the original.

Alex,
Why do you think Wayne is in Hesperia?
The ad is for Bakersfield and Wayne's 661 area code is also Bakersfield.
Every time I see a new Southern Cal person looking for a coach I suggest that they call Miguel Mendez at MGMGMC- 909-229-7508.
Miguel's GMC service shop is in Montclair, Ca. next to Claremont- Only about an hour drive from the San Fernando Valley.
Miguel has at least one very nice coach for sale at his shop-a Palm Beach
Since Miguel services GMC's for a great number of owners he is aware of other coaches that are for sale but not advertised.
I am always surprised by the lack of response from people looking for a coach after I post this information. I talk to Miguel regularly and it is rare that he reports an inquiry from the new person posting the request on the GMCnet has contacted him.
This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't forego the factory improvements of 77-78 coaches just because of the bi-annual smog inspection. A well maintained and properly tuned engine will not be a problem passing the inspection. I have never had a problem with smog inspections with the 3 different GMC's that I have owned.
Many of Miguel's customers take their coaches to him to get the inspection taken care of. I don't know of any that haven't passed.

There is a Wayne Hill in Bakersfield in the 2012 GMCMI roster. He is listed with a 77 Palm Beach.
I have a phone number, email address, TZE number and mileage when he registered with GMCMI a few years ago. I also have an FMCA number.
Contact me off net if you need this info.

At times i have heard of gmc's being kept and sold for storage, one must check the titles to make sure they are clear
from the past owner. It is always good to get a receipt for anything if it is possible to be obtained. These are important factors
if you deal with someone. Mickey anaheim ca. 77 palm beach. I am waiting for a receipt for around 1200 dollars for over a year.
I demur, it is always important to get other persons facts that have been involved with whom ever you deal with = karma.
I have found a new gmc shop coming up next to LAX airport. I will keep all informed. They will order all the parts from JimK and
be well priced labor. They have a gear puller, wheel alignment, good wiring and sound body and paint shop. They are renting
a large shop now and signing the contact for a long lease. I will keep all interested - informed as it grows.
Best regards

That's the guy, Emery! I will let you know if we are going to go ahead and look at it. I had just spoken to someone else in Hesperia and I mixed them up in my head. :)
Gene, thanks for the tip. I will check in with Miguel!
