I've been having trouble with my black tank reading anything. I did put in a new sendor a few year back so I hope it would be still working. I am not understanding how the wiring for the sendor works. I pulled and repaired the fresh water tank sendor and it had 2 wires to hook to, but I only see one wire back at the black tank from the GMC wiring, but the sendor has 2 wires...am I not understanding someing on this, shouldn't I have two wires to hook to from the motorhome as the same for the fresh water sendor hook up?

John is (of course) correct. I just replaced the sender on my black tank and it did not seem to matter which way the wires were hooked up. The gauges both work the same way, so you can use the fresh water gauge to test the other gauge. Just plug it into the next spot.
My fresh water gauge was bad so I had to replace it after installing the sender in the fresh tank. Jim K has some new old stock gauges for a good price.

JimK also has new 90Ohm Rochester senders that would go bad anytime soon. They are sealed and magnetically coupled like the propane sender. They also have two wired leads, so you don't have to try to make a good contact to the steel body of the sender.
