According to page 78 of the owner's manual for our 77 Kingsley there are 17 chassis lubrication/grease fittings including what's on the steering assembly.
If anyone's count is different or there's something that's not on that diagram that we should grease we'd appreciate your input. We're just talking about fittings that have zerks on them.
I guess as a side note, is there a trick or way to tell when we've put enough in. On other vehicles we've stopped when we feel a bit or resistance. On these fittings, which don't seem to take a lot of grease, a couple pumps is all we did so far. We realize we don't want to rupture any seals.
We greased the rear suspension and will revisit all the info on the forum as to the problems back there in getting grease further into the suspension. What kind of volume are we talking about in the rear suspension.
No need to talk about what type of grease as we've already been there.
Thanks as always,
Mickey

Volume--- if it is a sealed boot with no weep hole I stop as it starts to swell. At looser seals I look for grease coming out. At rears I do much more till I see grease coming out both ends-- maybe 10 pumps each? U joint on shaft only 1 or 2 as no boot capacity.

My idler has been replaced with a Cinnabar. No fitting at frame pivot but yes at link end. I think the OEM was same way. ( I could be wrong, in which case your 17 is correct) The OEM relay has a rubber pressed joint at the link end no fitting. The Lenzi replacement has a second fitting so you grease the link end. I think there is a diagram in the maint manual for lube points. Can't say on weep holes on various replacement parts vs OEM after so many years. So with 2 Lenzi arms you'd be at 20 and with tube type boggie greasers at 24 total.

You kind of lost me. I'm not that familiar with all the part names and where they are. I think we have all original parts on our coach so with the diagram from the operator's manual we'll have a look around and see what we can find. My son Chris has a better handle on all this mechanical stuff plus he has several other manuals. I think one is the maintenance manual with a lot of images and diagrams. I'm better when I see a picture of what I'm trying to find and do.
Thanks again,
Mickey

Follow all the linkages and look at each intersecting joint. Pretty much same as all GM full frame vehicles but due to the location of the steering box there is a relay arm and drag link to reach the Pitman on the box That plus the steering intermediate shaft has some truck ancestry so 2 fittings there one on the lower U joint feeding the box and one to lube the blue coated shaft. That and the 4 rear boggie pivots of course. Always use secondary blocking when under coach for safety. Grease of choice is Valvoline SynPower.
