I'm in the process of cleaning up the engine compartment on my 76 Palmbeach. Engine is out and repainted, all of the attached brackets have been painted except for the power steering pump and bracket. How does one remove the pulley from the front of the power steering pump. Do I use a puller or does it thread off by using a 3/8" allen wrench of which I have dried to do.

You need a special power steering pulley puller. They are cheap at Harbor Freight. I have at least 2 of them around here somewhere.

If you catch in on sale it is 10.99 Otherwise they are $20.00

That's what worked for me.  The first time removal was difficult since the pulley had been on for many years.  After installing the rebuilt pump, I realized that the return was in the wrong location.   I had to uninstall the pump and transfer the pump core to the original housing.  The second time pulley removal was a lot easier.
