K3 is available. There is no known direct replacement for K2. I do not have the number for K3 in front of me, but I buy them at the local electronics store. They also seldom fail. K3 on the other hand, K2 frequently fails due to the capacitor in the circuit or diode in series with it failing.
Duane Simmons use to take another small relay and wire it to the board, then he would cover it with the original K2 relay cover. If you do this you need to look carefully at the resistance of the relay coil on the new relay. Then you need to change (usually lower) the resistance of the series resistor to have 12 volts across the coil when the generator is running.
I have fixed a few of these with K2 failures but any more I just tell people to buy a new dinosaur board from Jim K. In the end it usually is more reliable.

Duane S was doing all our boards, but it got to a point to where we were
running int an reliability issue.
Weare now ssupplying the Dinasour boards with a pigtail and standard.
They carry a 2year warrenty. We never ask for proof, just your word and
send you a new one n/c immidiatly and ask that you return the defective to
us.
Manufactures know that distributors in general do not like to handle
warranty , so they let us call the shots.
We use warranty as a way of showing our customers that we never use days or
milage to say it is out

Johnny,
IIRC, at the bottom right corner of the Onan diagram I mentioned last
night, for which Emery provided the URL, there are ECC numbers for the
relays. Whether they're still available is an open question.

I haven't pulled the board out yet to troubleshoot, I had no power to the coil and when I jumped it it ran. I figured that at this age might as well replace both if they're available. K3 might be good still, I'll have to get the board on the bench and see what I find. It's a lower priority so the other repairs go first. one more Fender well, the water system, new roof top air, seat mounting etc. etc.

I'll have a look. ECC? ECG maybe? ECG stuff crosses usually to MangneCraft. I didn't like the looks of the coil connections on Stick's Onan. It's running and making power... but the problems with it were pretty much due to loose connections on the engine control board as a result of age and vibration. We got them corrected, but you really can't do much with the relay coil connections. On K3 they're soldered... no problem. On K2 they are stuck under the rivets which hold the PCB connectors... three dissimilar metals. Consequently, I'd replace K2 with something which has a better - or at least newer - coil-to-PCB connection. I noted also, the conformal coating is shedding, again due to age. Once everything is working, it wants recoating. Carefully.
