I drained the shipping oil out of the new compressor. About a half oz. Put 4 oz of mineral base oil in. Now that I'm mounting the unit. I noticed that the pulley on the replacement compressor is smaller then the original GM one. That could be nice as the compressor would run faster at slow speeds. And the engine really doesn't run vary fast on the road. Changing the pulley isn't a big deal. As I have the special tool to switch the clutch- bearing- pulley unit in my tool chest. Any thoughts? I have the smaller pulley on mine. It got there because I changed the clutch with a used one from another compressor. You will also have to get a slightly shorter belt.
