| [GMCnet] The 78 GMC I sold. Front shocks ? [message #213472] |

Just finished the back suspension, ( Quad bags ) Bilsteins, brakes, wheel cyl with new lines to the front, and wheel bearings with seals. I can now put the new rims, and tires on. Next to the front. I over looked the front shocks. I can't seem to get the shocks in our GMC parts book. The Monroe # of 69-17 crosses to Monroe 31000. That # crosses to KYB 5419, 5434, 5445, 5463, 5466, 5538, and even more #'s according to O Reilly's. No mention of 5435 that's on the GMC list. Bilstien # B46-0940 isn't coming up. HELP. I'm hoping to finish by July 15th. Bob Dunahugh

Gmc friends don't let Gmc friends buy Bilsteins. Use Kyb. Much better
gurantee. Hard to beat lifetime. Imho

We stock both brands. They carry a lifetime warranty.
We send you a new one immediately n/c and you never need to show us proof.
Lot of people were not the original purchaser, so we still replace them n/c
but charge freight.
Factory hates us , but they know we can promote the other if they get on
us. KYB rep tried to deny warranty and wanted me to fill out few sheets of
paper.
I looked at him straight and told him I will route them from another
distribution point so he will not get credit for our sales.
It helps to move lot of product when your confronted by these issues.
Having been on the otherside , I know how to hit back.

The point in my e-mail below was that. I want to by some KYS's for the front. That's what I have on the other 78 GMC. What KYB # of the one's I listed. Is correct for the front. The bilstien's that I put on the rear were new, and in the box's. The 4 cost me a total of $100.
So. You need to read beyond the Bilstien part.
