I recently replaced the rubber hinge on two of my baggage doors without issue but the front baggage door on the passenger side recently tore off and this time I am stumped. There is no way to slide out the old hinge from the coach or slide the new one in. I'm certain one of you must have dealt with this and has the solution. I just hope I don't have to remove other doors.

Could I file or cut away a small part of the lip holding it in?

Jim Bounds asked you what you meant by a "baggage door". I didn't see an answer.
I am also curious about this. On the passenger side of your 76 Palm Beach there is a single door at the rear for the propane tank.
Wat "front baggage door" are you talking about?

I'll take the baggage doors if you don't want them...and the baggage space. I'll even take the baggage space without the doors!

I think he's talking about the louvered door, about 14" square, that's on the passenger side, just ahead of the entrance door. Check out a '78 Royals Center Kitchen. The "door" is hinged at the top, and covers a sheet-metal lined compartment under the rear dinette seat. On our Royale, the propane tank is in the rear, opposite the Onan.

I think JimK has replacement rubber baggage door hinges. Scroll down until you find "Headlight Fluid" and they are the next item. If you get to the "Rebusher Adjustment Tool", you went too far.
