I'm in St Paul, mn for a couple days.  We hit the 50s car show yesterday - phenominal!!!  Minnesote Street Rod Ass'n frobnts it, fills the fairgrounds.  I didn't get a chance to walk the RV lot, anybody bring a GMC?
Save pretty much every car we had when I was a kid plus several I've owned.  Really worth a day or two just walking and looking.

I took my 'show' up there a few years back. Probably the best street rod show in the world.

Kerry Pinkerton - North Alabama Had 5 over the years. Currently have a '06 Fleetwood Discovery 39L

Lats year they had 12,000 cars!
This year we had terrible weather so the numbers will be way down, but it's still a great show.
I have a '29 Dodge that is THIS " close to being able to get there. I can't wait!

I saw more gangsters and molls than I have in the past too, lots of dressing up lately, cant say I hate it.

Far and away the best I've ever been to.  And I bet there was the occasional GMC there, I just didn't have time to browse the RV lot.

There were at least two GMC's there. Both Bob Miller and John Biwersi attended the "Back to the 50's" Car show in St. Paul with their GMC this year. I usually go with John B but missed it this year in favor of a Canadian fishing trip. Three of us caught over 300 fish. My biggest were a 39 1/2" Northern Pike, and a 23" Walleye. What a time we had!!

It was a great show despite the unbelievable amount of rain. The wind really got the coach rocking a few times. Anybody interested in old cars should get this show on their bucket list for at least one time. The cars are limited to to 1964 and older to keep the number of show cars from getting beyond what they can handle. 1964-1/2 and anything newer would make Mustangs eligible and result in too many show cars. This car show is the second largest car show in North America. This year the count was 12,036 registered show cars. Google Back to the 50's or MSRA and have a good time. MSRA has a great listing for locations for non oxygenated fuel in Minnesota which I use frequently.

That's a bunch of fish, Larry. Those big ones had to be thrilling catches.

Given the mob there, isn't surprising I missed them.  Didn't have time (wanted to look at th cars!) to drag the RV lot.

Back in the old days that car show was sponsored by the Gopher State Timing
Association. My first car took first place in that event.

I was a founding member of the Gopher State Timing Association back in about
1953. Was also the co-editor of the house journal called the Gopher State
Timer. The first car show was in a Red Owl (remember them?) super market on
Lake Street and about 21st Ave So in Minneapolis. Then it was moved to the
Minneapolis Armory.

Wow Ron. You go back a long ways with this. I doubt that you'd remember
the car but I'll send you a shot off line.
