I need a new furnace to replace the Suburban NT 30 in my coach now. Which new model is the direct replacement so I don't have to change the outside vent.

Don't these have an oxygen depletion sensor that keeps them from heating above 5,000 feet or so altitude?

the radiant one can have the fan on or off with no noise and just run on propane with no loss of battery

there is one that has bricks in it, it is the best supposedly. the 2 brick one is with someone that lives in the very cold weather

and states it works great. I do not have his and hers site right now but i thought they were right. He tried everything and used the

radiant one. cheaper and lower electric use. no noise. mickey anaheim ca. 77 palm beach.

The ducts don't work so well in the old type. the fan uses more electricity than needed and loud fan at night. ??

FWIW, I've never used the sol/aire furnace that came with the DreamLiner. I plan on removing it at some point and reclaiming the space for something more useful, like a dishwasher.
The POs installed an Olympic catalytic heater just below the door to the built-in vacuum. I like the amount of heat it puts out, and the fact that it's nearly silent, just a slight hiss from the flowing gas.
However, when it's time to replace it, I won't get another catalytic heater. The catalytic pad loses its effectiveness over time as it gets fouled with dirt or dust, and there's no cleaning it, only replacing it. In fact, the heater is already a big pain to start. I've almost lost my facial hair a few times from trying to ignite it the "official" way and getting a big "whoosh" flair-up right in my face.
But I digress. There are other types of ventless propane heaters that use "bricks" instead of catalyst pads and I will probably go with one of those when it's time for a replacement.

Thank you for this info i am a little worried about mine it has not had a cover for it, it does not seem to be dirty, but i think

I may get one with the brick and put in this area and have a hose to it so i can bring it out like a speaker and point it where i want it in the corridor of the gmc. I may keep it if it works well, but i am going catylitic for sure my po tool the original out. which gives you a lot of room to store stuff. I bought a new wave electric burner that you can put your hand on when you use it, not flame not hot coil,
very wierd hot nurner nu wave

http://www.nuwavepic.com/#back

this comes with one skillet and was 89 dollars. but i like the nu wave oven and am taking out the old stove and oven.

this stuff is fast so using the onan for 15 or 20 minutes of cook stuff is not bad. It does not take much, but i do not know how much for sure? If your plluged in it works great.
