Just had a call from "bob", 248-835-9080. He is having troubles on I 40,
about 30 miles east of Little Rock. I couldn't make much sense of his
problem. Perhaps someone on the net could throw out a lifeline. Gordon,

G'day,

His name is Guy and he left here last night with a GMC he purchased down in Seabrook, Texas. He's heading for Detroit.

John Sharpe and I spent two days working on the thing fixing "stuff."

He was on the phone with John this morning when the engine died. Guy provided John with the symptoms and John believes he has an
ignition problem.

Guy is very intelligent, good with his hands, follows instructions well, learns quickly but he's the first one to admit his mechanic
skills are low. "This is all new to me."

I took him to Harbor Freight and got him a good set of tools and a digital Multimeter.

We're not sure if he has any spares on board or not.

Regards,
Rob

thank you Gordon for throwing this sos up! this is exactly why I went gmc! I made it back to the d safe and sound.

and Rob, you guys are the best!! John was right (not surprising) on the problem being the ignition module. I'll write a proper maiden voyage post when I get back to the computer.

Super. Glad you made it. Let us hear when you have time. These old machines are the best. Been in mine all this week. May just start using it at home. I am sure it is cheaper to cool the coach than keeping the house cool. This owners group can not be beat.

Guy,

I knew you would make it but I did think you were a bit optimistic hoping it would be on Thursday. Glad you proved me wrong despite
the hiccup with the dizzy.

Regards,
Rob M.
