Went and brought our77 Eleganza out of storage and what a SMELL.
It was in Sumas Washington and the Canadian Border Guard insisted in
checking it out. I figure she was glad to see me gone. Waste water
seeping out of the top of the tank - not mush in the tank but going down
hills
brought it out.
so what is the best procedure in dropping this tank. besides taking the
sensor
wires off, the connection to the mascerator and the 2 steel bars holding it.
It's the connections to the drains on the top side I am not sure of.
I have to get this done so my daughter can take it to the Oregon Coast end
of next week.

Dwayne,
You may be fortunate and find that the leak is from a line into the top of the tank --
here is a photo album by Emery on replacing the kitchen area drain...

If you have to pull the waste tank -- you will need to remove the toilet. I do not know what type of fitting into the tank you may have. On my 73 it is a screw in fitting and I used this home made tool to remove it after pulling the toilet and removing the six wood screws that held the flange.

The bath sink and shower drain on your wet bath would be in the rear wall of the bath module.

Depending on how you have the rear configured access may be easy or difficult.

Dwayne,
Another memory from dropping the tank -- have a good pair of vise grips handy -- you should expect to hold the hanger rods while you remove the nuts holding the two tank straps.

Dwayne, the toilet flange is screwed into the fitting in the top of the
waste tank. It is usually very, very tight. The 2 x 4 serves as a long
lever to unscrew the flange that will not go through the opening in the
floor of the coach. You can use other stuff besides a board to do the same
thing. I have some pix I will send you if this is still unclear to you.

Dwayne,
Matt is referring to using a tool such as I posted in my first reply...
If you have to pull the waste tank -- you will need to remove the toilet. I do not know what type of fitting into the tank you may have. On my 73 it is a screw in fitting and I used this home made tool to remove it after pulling the toilet and removing the six wood screws that held the flange.

Dwayne,
Sorry,
Jim did a better job of explaining. But, if it not clear, come on back here...
Oh, and (in my coach) there are very large flat head wood screws holding the flange to the floor. The tool to remove those is a square drive screwdriver point on a speed wrench (looks like a crank).
And (I just remembered) that 2x4 has to be less than 2', so I guess you should measure before you cut.
Good Luck

Thanks Jim
still uncertain but maybe when I have the Toilet off I will see it.
IN the coach - Eleganza the set up is as follows
From the front drivers side there is a love seat - never ried it in this
manner.
then the kitchen - sink then stove then the shower and vanity and toilet.
then bed behind.
I understand I have to remove the Toilet, Shower Drain I imagine, then
there's the drain from the kithen sink
other than that theres got to be a vent (in the kingsley the vent is across
the isle in the coat closet. )

Got it - not having my face into the toilet hole - I now understand the
need to have this tool to unscrew and screw it up

Sounds like a GMC rear twin, not the usual Eleganza 2 26-3 floor plan.

the eleganza has a kingsize bed in the rear. Our kingsley is almost
identical but has Twins.
We prefer the twins - don't have to crawl over each other to go to the
bathroom but enough room to share romance then back to the twins. Ouch!!!!
ears burning
