Just a reminder that today is Flag Day. Let's plan to acknowledge our heritage before it is canceled for being too controversial.

My flag flys proudly every day. It is lit at night, so there is no mistake.
Flys at half-mast on Memorial day, and other somber events.

The Franklin Girl Scouts participate in the American Legion's flag retirement ceremony. One of the scout leaders collects the brass grommets from the ashes and tumble polishes them and distributes them to the scout participants with a red, white and blue ribbon which they wear on their uniforms. they can be stacked for each year of participation. Great ceremony.
