I've been gone for a while because I sold my 76 Palm Beach about two years ago. This 74 seems extremely well maintained and upgraded. It has twin air bags, Alcoa wheels, headers, three inch exhaust, MSD ignition, excellent new headliner, memory foam mattress, all new side windows, Ramco mirrors, new front hubs and shocks and a lot more. The tires look OK but are ten years old. It has a macerator and a good screen door. Got it for $4500. How did I do? It drives great but has 130,000 on the clock.

The VIN is TZE064V100225. Anyone know anything about its past?

I've posted a picture on my blog. A click on this should take you there: http://vonprumblog.wordpress.com

You got the coach for free; it was the improvements that cost $4500.

Lance,

Not sure why it is being called a Palm Beach. With a TZE serial of 0225 it was likely built last qtr. of 1973. Much too early for a Palm Beach which was announced as a 1975 model.

If you still have the glove box sticker (service parts Identification) it will show you the build date (top left), paint color and complete list of accessories.

Lance,

I knew you couldn't stay away!

The price looks good from your description and what can be seen in the picture. I really like the Alcoa LTS wheels. That is the style I like the most.

But as far as KNOWING anything about the coach...

It _IS_ a 1974 (from the TZE) as such, it is _NOT_ a Palm Beach. (The first Palm Beach is a 1975.)

Granted, it is YOUR coach and you can call it anything you want. Twisted Evil

Sir: Looks like a good deal on the coach. On your blog, I believe it is a 1960 Olds with 59 Caddy tail lights.

Sir,

I reckon it's a 1960 Pontiac with '59 Caddy tail lights:

Note the gas cap in the center of the trunk.

Chuck,

You're right, what I spotted was what looked like the Pontiac logo on the fuel fill door. I reckoned you were right on the year (you
were) so I Googled "1960 Pontiac."
