Do you all think it would be possible to reverse the two sides so the opening would be on top so I could stick my head out?

Driving in the rain today what I suggested is impossible as they are on a slant!

I feel the question is very relevant. The window opening is very small and low
I would love to be able to stick out my head and see the rear weels in tight reversing
( and I did a lot of discussing with toolbooths in India - this does not apply to forreigners-)
Also on hot days would'nt it be nice to get wind in your hair?
A larger opening window how to ?

Yes Jim K, I do realize the work and cost involved in maken kits and it is far beyond me.
And I do appriciate the work you guys do. making new parts and kits for the gmc.
But I do reserve the right to say: he I would love a larger, opening window, without putting pressure on anybody

Actually, I seem to remember that JimB did have an enlarged window made for the Duramaxx coach conversion he did.
I don't see why one couldn't be developed, but I also think that the costs involved in prototyping and getting the glass made after the frame has been fabricated would probably scare most folks off from such a project.

What we need is to id a salvage window assembly off of something widely available, and a customized frame to set it in that will fit the GMC. Plenty of room on the motorhome once you get the side panels off and the side windows out. I am working on it, or at least thinking about working on it.

I believe dealing with the sliding glass having to move and seal within the 3 dimensional shape of the existing body design would be very difficult for very limited return. Even now, the only source for the glass above the toll window is from a parts coach. There are no new ones being produced to my knowledge.
Perhaps a swing out window frame could be made that would seal within the existing frame. JMO.
