Greetings,
Has anyone run into this problem...
When I took off for my last trip I looked at the dash & noticed that the oil pressure gauge needle was pinned on High. Just prior to leaving, I crawled under the coach to lube the front end & steering column. It was a tight fit for me to be under there ... might have I have hit the oil pressure sending unit? Where is it located on a 403? I hope the gauge itself isn't broke. I guess I could possibly have a oil pressure problem, but the problem occurred immediately not slowly over time. Any advice on this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

Oil pressure sensor is located on the front of the engine, top side, drivers side, near the engine hoses. The wire may be dislodged, even though it is a decent connection design. Installed position would be difficult to dislodge from underneath the engine.

When my (455) did that two trips ago, a new sender healed it.  It's a failry common part, O'Rielly, AutoZone and Retarded (Advance) all stock it.

Alan,
You can get a 60# or 80# sender. Most use the 80#. Napa# is OP6636 Or OP6638. A Wells part# is PS136 (80#)

Replaced faulty sensor? Reconnected sensor? Repaired broken wire? Other?

I just had the same problem. I disconnected the sender and it still
pegged the needle on high. I removed the air cleaner. In preparation to
work on it. The problem went away. I noticed the wire loom was on top
of the fuel line. I believe the air cleaner housing pinched the wires
causing a short. This caused the pegged needle on high.
