Please forgive the basic level of this question, but some days electrons just don't make no sense.....
We bought an interior light unit to mount above the dinnette. It uses 3 12 volt bulbs. There is a wire nut bundle that runs a wire to each of the light sockets and a pigtail to one side of the push button off/on switch. The only open connecter wire is the other side of the switch.
So looking at the light unit, it has only a single wire to each socket. Does that mean it is using the metal fixture as the other side of the circuit - so I should attach the light body to the circuit? Is that safe?
It's got to be simple, but I'm not seeing it...........
