In my remodel of the "once a painted desert" I biffed the range hood and crafted a box out of 3/16" plastic sheet. Put 2 muffin fans in the base of the upper cabinet, then glued a aluminum flashing (comes in a 12" wide roll) on the underside of the whole upper cabinet. On a 23 footer it is over the kitchen sink etc.
Have not yet used it camping yet but the 2 muffin fans pull a decent air flow. The fans were $2 each so I have some spares!
