Thanks Terry. Got any suggestions for how I can check those?
Do I have to pull the tranny, or can they been seen/accessed
from the round hole on the tranny housing?

Pull the starter and the flex plate gravel shield. There are three bolts that hold the torque converter to the flexplate.

You can get to them through the inspection hole on the tranny housing.
