What is a good (easy) technique to extract
the 4 ounce sample Blackstone wants?

Blackstone sends instructions on how to take the sample. Ideally they want a sample from the 'middle' of the drain at a hot oil change after running at normal speed for a certain amount of time (maybe at least 20 minutes??). This burns off the impurities from cold running (condensation, gas from start up, etc. IIRC, they also give alternate instructions if that is not possible, but it needs to be noted.

Yep, yall are right. I guess Mac does not want to change oil in a bad engine. I would at least try to warm it up though if it will still run.
