I still think this old post from Emery, is relevant to the stall problem

Howell sells this adapter and the GM (Holley) injectors that fit it.
However bear in mind that the original injectors were 85 pound per
hour at 13psi and the newer style are 60 pounds per hour at 13 psi so
you have to raise the pressure to the 18 to 21 psi area to get the
fuel flow you need.
