Anyone that has sent me private messages on here and did not get one back, know that I sent them. Seems I am having a problem with the private message thing on the forum. My email is:
gregg_dan at hotmail.com
Not sure what the problem might be. I always put my email address in the return messages because I don't like the message system on the forum. I rarely get a response to any messages I return on the email message part of this forum so I am figuring no one is getting my return notes.
Thanks,
Dan

Well, Dan, I don't know if this is any good answer
as I'm not sure how you sent your message which
follows. I guess you sent on the mail list and NOT
to the forum since the header shows your sending
address.

I do NOT like forums and the digital gymnastics that
they seem to require.

If this gives you any idea as to what is happening,
I'm glad to assist.

Dan,

I always reply to private messages I get on the forum, although sometimes it takes me a while to notice that I have one. Sometimes (usually) I don't get a return message. I'm guessing that's because I have answered the person's question and the conversation is over.

I never want anyone to think I would not reply. I have replied to every PM I have ever got on here. I am notified when they arrive in my hotmail acct so I never miss one. I reply and never hear back. After posting this message I got an email from a friend here who had been asking me about solar and I had replied to all of them. He never got them. When I get emails from the forum please put GMC or something in the topic that I will recognize. Because, most of them hit my trash and get deleted if I do not recognize it. I open no emails unless I know who sent it. Needs GMC in the title.
I have replied again to bcon's PM. Do not think he got it but we will see. I am sure something has gotten flipped so none of my replies go out. A while back I noticed some of the folks on the forum I was not seeing their responses. Come to find out, I had deleted them on my iphone by trying to hit the topic but hitting delete this person's responses, or something of that nature. Got that fixed. "Ignore this person", that is what it said.
Anyway, I see my function in life as a cheerleader. After dealing with criminals all of my career I promised myself I would always be a cheerful person upon retirement. If you get a response from me that is not a pleasant one, you either mis read it or really ticked me off. Very Happy No one can be liked by everyone but I do my best, after being hated by so many criminals.
Life is good
dan

A lot of people have email notification turned OFF. When they do this they do not see that you responded. It is a user error on their end.

Oh, you may be right Ken. I just hate for folks to think I will not reply. Anyone who knows me in person knows I will do anything I can to help someone who needs it.
Thanks,
Dan

Well, I sent Armand a pm and he got it. Sounds like to me some folks that have sent me pm stuff may have their recieve off by accident. Might be good to check that on your account. I know I have visited with lots of members via pm on here in the past. Id rather have emails sent direct to me but realize many don't have my hotmail address.
Ok, I do do psy. work Michael but you must lay off the beer for my work to take root. Very Happy

Since I may have started this chain by persistently asking you for you input, I apologize. It may be my end that does not get the pm forum stuff. But as usual you have stepped up to the plate and helped me in my quest. You are a fine and experienced GMC owner, dry camper, long trip taker, early retiree, rally goer, ice cream lover, old car enthusiast, solar innovator, Grand Father, Father and Husband among other admirable traits. You are always willing to share you time and energy to us and for that I am grateful.

Why are you being so nice to him?

He would not call me back when I was in jail (the hospital) looking for a way to break out.

Just remember that he was the jailer in his professional life. It is his job not to let the inmates break out...

Right On Michael. You tell him. Laughing

I have my very own cell phone. 573-625- 10 thirty eight. All I get are texts. I have one local friend that calls me. Ken calls me on skype. He acts like my cell does not work. I pay a monthly bill so Teri can text me to see what I am doing when she is away shopping or something. When I ran the parole office I had to hide out on weekends. Cops called me all hours. I would take the GMC to a local friend's pond and hide out, no phone, only radio communication with my lovely bride. I will say, the cops knew this, when they woke me up, someone was going to jail.

Call if you need something. I pay my phone bill.

Dan
