I somehow found myself in the middle of an interior upgrade. I pulled out the front dinette, and the couch/bunk. The wife and mother-in-law are recovering them.

my question to the group, is they were held to the floor with lag bolts, that have a washer molded to the nut.

does anybody know the specs or have the source for those lag bolts? before I drive all over town looking for them.

I know I could use washers and other normal hardware, but would like to keep with these style bolts. they are just right.

some of mine were rusted, and shot.

thanks,

Jon

Jon,

Those are available from fastener suppliers and places like McMaster-Carr, but the whole reason that OEs use them is two fold:
A - the assembler can't lose the washer
B - fewer numbers in the parts list

I have never gotten a good handle why a number can be so expensive, but then, I was just the engineer and not the bean counter.

Engineers and vehicle designers make it right, bean counters make it cheap. Competing goals.
