Auto transmission will not shift fron 2 to 3 gear. Any ideas .? Please advise, Thanks

Oh no, I mis read your statement. Check the modulator hose on passenger side.

First check the fluid level.

Then make sure the linkage is allowing it to go into drive.

Then check the modulator. Do you know what that is?
Be sure that the rubber line that connects the steel line to the vacuum modulator is connected. Also make sure the other end of the steel line is connected to the carb.

Of the connections are ok then disconnect the modulator and apply a vacuum to it to see that it is not leaking. Report back and we can discuss it more.
