Happy, happy, happy. Toilet was the "Style Plus" china bowl. Took local rv dealer a week to get me the seal but we are pooping in a water tight bowl once again. Knew yall were just waiting to know what happened. Not all of Thetford's toilets have a model name or number on them. Was a real headache to match it to the right china bowl picture. Local dealer was not interested in opening a box to check it for me. Thetford was not good to respond to emails either. That kinda ticks me off. Got one response 3 days after initial contact. I answered all of their questions, never heard another stinkin word from them. They need a lesson from our Jim K, or Art with Digi-panel, or any other of those we deal with on a regular basis. Guess they get too much buisness to worry with a little guy like me.
Anyway, just passing on the good news. As I said before, a minor problem is when it is on your GMC. Same problem on my GMC is a major one. Very Happy
Dan

I found many years ago that it's good to keep a folder with all the old receipts, invoices, etc. on my projects as it does get tough to try to remember what you bought or when you bought it. Having more and more companies publish their owner's manuals on the Internet certainly helps as well, and saving those websites cuts down on the paper stack, but I still try to keep things from my projects as I can't remember much of anything these days!

By doing so, I have been able to ascertain that sump pumps generally fail after 25 months when they have a 2 year warrantee!

George,
New refrigerators do the same thing. And it's cheaper to buy another new on than try to have the failed one repaired.
Whereas if you bought one built in the 60's it probably lasted 25 years and was then handed down to the kids or grandkids.

I'd rather have the older simpler quality than the new whiz-bang features that break.

Yep, they want you to replace it. I cannot believe how many different RV shitter models are out there... Just blows the mind. Lately, they have been putting ones that *LOOK* like china models but are just plastic. They keep making them cheaper and cheaper. I nearly threw the one from my TT through the roof vent when I pulled it from the floor it was so lightweight.

I have a Sea Land. I moved it to my TT. Thing is great, as potties go... Very Happy

They all have a terrible chute design, so many nooks and crannies and a ledge at the flange. Yeah, that's a good idea. A poop shelf. Rolling Eyes

You know, I live by the "golden rule" or "what goes around comes around". At least I try to. Sometimes it is a struggle.
This morning I get a call from the rv place asking if they stuck my check in my bag with the seal. I said" yes, I thought you debited my account". "Nope, accident". "Ok , I will run the check by Friday."
I just had to laugh to myself. I won't make them wait til Friday but I am tempted.
Hey, life is good.
