Now that my door widening project is completed. And worked well at the Rally in Dulthen. And the week after. It's time to move on to the next money pit project. That's EFI. I like the GM system. But have a 2 inch Holley Projection system that can be up dated with digital controls from Holley, at a cost of about $600. The Holley would have an Oxg sensor with a programmable controller. Or can the Holley throttle body be used with the GM controls? It's vary similar to the GM. I have all of the proper electrical plugs to adapt. Bob Dunahugh

Thanks. I dont need entire units. I just pick up spare parts for mine when I can. Sounds like you need to sell those as complete units. Mine is the 2 barrel. Someone here might need a complete unit though.

Bob,
The Holly projection will probably work fine for fuel control. Those of us with the EBL system have found that spark is more effective when it comes to performance and even a bit of fuel economy. The EBL controls both spark and fuel in relation to each other. The computer is aware of what the engine is doing and adjusts spark when fuel is leaned or enriched.
If we could find what the throttle sensor, the IAC ( idle air stepper motor) requirements and injectors are, I see no reason why you could not use EBL (GM based) to control it. As long as those were compatible.
The good news is that the Howell unit uses a Holly TBI and I am guessing Holly didn't look too far for the components.
Some of the sharp folks at the EFI group may instantly know the answers.

George,
Howell started out using Holley throttle bodies, for one of several reasons
I've heard. It was Holleys replacement for the GM 454 unit. They later
switched to the GM unit. I had one of the Holley units and was a little
unhappy with it. Actually, it was a PITA. When I switched to the big
Caddy, I used the Q-jet, which I'm pretty good with. I do have a Caddy
injection that I will try later, when I get time. It's down a little on the
priority list. Too many project, not enough butt. LOL
