Not sure what I'd do with it but there is bound to be something I want to turn on from somewhere else...and it's dirt cheap.

Here's just one of many for much less. 1 to 12 channels are available.
Most, like this one, would need an external relay for 20A because the
internal's only rated to 2A:

Definitely looks like a handy product! I was going to buy one until I saw that
they wanted $12.70 for shipping. Will wait until I actually have a use for one
first.

I'll warn gadgetholics to not read the below...
I bought a wireless rearview camera system. It hangs on (replaces) the mirror, and spends most of its time as a GPS or bluetooth hands-free or MP3 / video player - but when the wireless rearview camera (which is wired to the reverse light circuit) comes on, it automatically switches to video mode.
It seems to me that it would be dead simple to install wireless cameras elsewhere on the coach, and remote-control them, since all you need is 12VDC to run both the remote control and the camera. As long as you only turn on one at a time, there's no need for any other kind of video switching. Some possibilities...
1) Curb view on the right side (parking aid)
2) Toad view (maybe from up on top?)
3) Doorway monitor (to make sure whoever is knocking is bringing a six-pack before you open the door)
4) Front bumper cam (parking aid)
5) Roof cam (am I gonna clear that bridge?)
6) Passing cam (so you know when you can pull back into the right lane without needing bodywork)
7) Perimeter cameras (what was that noise?)
Not to mention, you could temporarily mount a camera anywhere to troubleshoot suspension or other issues (see if your bell crank is following the steering wheel or not, watch your air bags, or check to see how much your bogies are deflecting in various situations). You could mount one underneath to see if one of the many tanks are still leaking after you patch it. Many of the cameras have LED lighting if you're mounting it in a dark area.
And we're not talking big bucks here, either... the wireless rearview system set me back about $115, and with four-channel remote control systems going for under $50, and the cameras cost $20-25 or so a pop. $300 should buy a system that would make James Bond a little jealous.
Oh, I forgot to mention that you DO have to make sure the cameras are all set to the same frequency - many of 'em have dip switches to do just that, or I suppose you could just ask the vendor to make sure that you're getting what you need.

I use the first item on the page to control my junk-yard cruse control. I double sided taped the remote to the cross bar of my steering wheel. I have set/decelerate, resume/accelerate and coast. I haven't come up with a good use for the last button.
All my uses are momentary so they would work for door locks.
I used this one:
Product Name: 12V 4 Channel Wireless Remote Control Switch System 315MHz ~ 433MHz. Item Code: 145737750

But Dan, I haven't even shown you the next big thing. Ditch the fobs, control it (and dozens of other sensors or relays) from your smartphone or tablet. My shipment of samples just arrived from TI yesterday.

You guys can just cut it out. I am done with this thread. No more looking. I
don't need a remote gadget. Got enough stuff already. Am over this now, just
stop it. I will say, I would buy the one from US dealer who says it is US built
with free shipping for 15.95, if, I was going to get one, or two, or three. We
do not turn our water pump off so not needed there. I have a complete manual
system on my Quadra-bags so don't need one there. Already have rear view camera.
So, cut it out. :d

(queue the Jaws theme) It's here. I'm just waiting for the dust to settle.
I'm guessing this is the reason Johnson Controls is thinking about selling its auto electronics division --it's about to be disrupted just like the print industry was. Same for the smarthome industry.
