Dang, we go nearly to Florida and back without seeing a GMC on the road. While crossing the Mississippi at Dyersburg, Tn. we meet this really nice looking painted up coach towing a Saturn. I mean it was a nice paint job. I was flashing my headlights for half a mile at him. Don't think the driver ever did see me.
Oh well, it was a nice rainy day for a trip across the hills of Tn. on hiway 412. A nice leisurely road to drive in a motorhome towing a vdub.
We hope all the Dothan gang had a good ride home or over to Ken and Elaine's.
Dan

Funny how that works, isn't it Dan? Last year, right after we left Shawnee, we were heading west on I-40 and saw two GMCs, within 10 miles of each other, heading east. It would have made sense that they were going to the convention, but it was OVER!

Dan, in your pictures at Dothan there is one of a poster for the Great Race as it passes through Port Girardeau.

Wondering if you know of a website for local activities there?
I went to the Race website, looks like a fun terrific event, but I don't find anything about things in the stop over towns.

Don, I don't have anything else. Don't know who posted that on the board. Teri and I rode with that group 2 summers ago in the GMC towing the Vdub, for 100 miles. We had a blast. They came though Effingham where we had a vdub gathering. Teri and I waited for them to arrive and then rode with them to Du Quoin.
Just thought some might want to look up the information on the poster in case they come close by. We live 60 miles from Cape Girardeau so I am sure we will run up there. With the photo I made myself a reminder.

Thanks Dan

I'm sure it was a blast. Seems like some local group is planning something in Port Girardeau. If I can find info on activites at the stops in MS and LA I might run over and do some of the touring I wanted to do on the way to Dothan.
