I'm looking for some vendor that might have a Facet cylindrical single-wire fuel pump for my genset at a reasonable price.

Both AutoZone and Napa have a low-pressure single wire negative ground pump
that will work just fine if all you want is for the generator to run.

O'rielly's also has it for a good price. Forget the Facet- go with what you can get and that will work.

What he said! I've been running a no-name pump for years. Facet Shmashit.
They're nothing special.

Way to share your knowledge, sir Robin Hood. :-)

The inlet fitting will work with just about anything, but the outlet is a hardline that may require a certain size. I would have thought there would be a cheap knockoff of the facet design somewhere.

Randy,

I'm an anally retentive perfectionist bastard and I was hell bent on replacing the fuel pump with the same pump and here's the
cheapest place I could find it.

http://www.silver-seal.com/product/FEP60SV/Facet-Solid-State-Fuel-Pump-275-4-PSI-36-GPH136-LPH.html

Regards,
Rob M.

PS - I am sure the other pumps will work fine. :-)

Rob,
I know what you mean, it just aint right if it isn't exactly like the OEM. It even bothers me that it's not green, one of these days I'll get around to painting it.

Tell me do you keep the old non-functioning parts, just in case too?

Does the facet pump operate any differently from a universal "Mr. Gasket" type pump? I am looking at about 4-7psi and 35 GPH but I don't want a pump that will try to flood out the carb.

Randy,

The pump sold by Silver Seal IS a DIRECT replacement for the OEM Onan pump, note the specs I copied from Silver Seal's website.

FEP60SV: Facet Solid State Fuel Pump (2.75-4 PSI, 36-GPH/136-LPH)

The pump you're looking at puts out HIGHER pressure and therefore I would assume it is NOT a good choice.

Regards,
Rob M.

Randy,

This Mr Gasket puts out 2 - 3.5 psi:

http://mr-gasket.com/air-and-fuel-systems/fuel-pumps/micro-electric-fuel-pump-42gph.html

It's the one Jim K sells and it works fine on my Onan, should work as well on your Kohler.

The actual part number for the pump is 477060E, found another listing cheaper yet at Yacht Supply Depot.

http://www.yachtsupplydepot.com/mechanical-supplies/fuel-pumps/facet-cylindrical-solid-state-electric-fuel-pump-477060e/prod_23438.html

If you google "facet 477060E" you might even find it for less.

Good Luck!

You can also get it from NAPA for double the price. Part number 610-1075 is $151.
