I have a wire that I do not know what is, and it is not connected to anything. It is only a foot long. When you open passenger side hood, mid way across the firewall there is the firewall penetration where all the wires go through (I don't know what the proper name for this is). There are two blocks of wires, one left and one right. This wire is on the right block, on the top and is a pink with double black stripe.

Is there a diagram that shows this block so I know what this was originally intended to be used for?

Thanks,
Galen

Thanks for the link. I have the chassis diagram, but the problem with it is that you need to know the function to id the wire. I believe the lettered boxed in the legend correspond this junction, but I haven't seen a table that id's the letter code for a particular position on the junction. Since this wire is just dangling, without pulling the inside and tracing toward a device, I'm not sure how to id it without a junction table.

Does your Ignition Key Buzzer work? The wire for that goes to the horn relay and is shown as pink with double black stripe.

Hey Joe...the colors can be found on the chassis electrical diagram for your year found at http://www.bdub.net/wirediagrams/

Go down to the bottom.

Mike, you are probably right, that's what I am guessing it must be. It's close to being long enough and probably the right gauge. I was actually trouble shooting the horn when I saw it. The buzzer doesn't work, but it's one of several items that don't, and one I won't repair.

Too cold outside to look at it in the dark.

Thanks,
Galen
